Jim studied drama in High school with Peg Long, our beloved director of the greatest hugest ensemble ever. Peg introduced Jim and his pals to the Faire, where he later went on to form "i Familia Bologna" and eventually "tutti frutti" his current troupe with his wife Marilyn.
A talented leather mask maker and director for over twenty five years Jim
is a knowledgeable scholar and performer in comedia del arte frequently performing
at San Francisco's The Purple Onion, and at Dickens Faire. Jim and Marilyn
have recently held dances with the Brassworks
Band.
Jim was very instrumental in the early eighties revival of variety arts in
the bay area, he worked with many talented performers who also have foolish
credits including Jeffrey Weissman, Ed Holmes, Jack
Tate, Drew Letchworth, Richard Dupel and many others.
