what am I looking at? Its ning. You are in the teahouse and you are also at a starting point in a powerful network. Firstly : groups. Comments and posts to groups show up in activities if it is a public group, otherwise you better hop around and see whats up. The photos in the slideshow on the main page are just the last fifty uploaded by everyone. You may need to dig around you here to see what is going on. You cannot always see or tell everyone who is on, and often it is also impossible to tell if comments have been made on pics or pages without actually going and looking. If you comment back and forth everyone can "see" it. If you have conversations right on one page it is more private. Of course if you really want to make it private you can always delete old comments. This is a very new tool and you might stumble on a neat new way of using it if you play around with it a little bit. Now that there are more people (yay!) in the teahouse the use of the groups will likely come in handy On a group page you can easily see who is online in a group of pals. Eventually they will roll out pictures and video and music for the groups for now it is more of a private side-room to chat in. Why is this site so slow? Either your connection is slow or your computer is kinda old or both. I do not mean to exclude anyone or discourage the less techno adventurous among us. The choice was to hold back or have as much fun as I could and I chose to have as much fun as I could with with it...as I can! Hopefully many of you will upgrade and I can lure you away from that misery box they call teevee. Sometimes the problem is that you have not shut down your computer for awhile. If you completely re-boot often this cures it. The Help pages are started. Basically this week I coded in a pages feature which allows you to create pages, and I have been using it to start to create our own help pages here for everyone. The pages feature should be in your tabs now. Of course I am always happy to help, please contact me if you have questions or you need directions. Often I am engrossed in a tutorial or something like that (I also work in the 3D metaverse Second LIfe) so it might take me a little while however I am happy to help.
